FOODIE PICK: STARLITE ROOM
Inspired by the city’s icons—gold, fog, cable cars, and a celebration of the city’s flavors, award-winning bar connoisseur Scott Baird and Michelin-awarded Chef Johnny Spero complement each other to create a cocktail and bites menu that pays homage to the independent spirit and character of San Francisco. Multi-hyphenate Nina Tarr brings San Francisco’s nightlife to life with an all-vinyl soundtrack on a nightly basis, with album listening parties on the regular.
The man behind the cocktails is Scott Baird, I refer to him as the “mixology maestro”.
Flip through the cocktail menu and take a sip into San Francisco’s history with the Cable Car—Starlite’s version of the Sidecar—or the Porn Star Martini—and embrace the spectacle of an experience with your high-spirited cocktails above the fog and the fray, overlooking Union square. Enjoy decedent bites (baked oysters, caviar & tuna crudo & more) at Starlite to go with your crafted cocktail. Make a resy in advance to ensure you get beyond the velvet rope and secure a table at the newest hot spot in SF. Meet the man behind the cocktails at Starlite , SF native Scott Baird, whose name may spark recognition for his creation of the Mission Bar once named Best Bar in the World - Trick Dog. He has remixed classic Starlite beverages with beauty, flavor, quirk, and a bit of theater.

Took of the morning one and all join my Irish brothers and sisters for one of the biggest St.Pat’s Day Parades in the country. On Saturday from 11:30 A.M. - 2 P.M. The parade rolls down market street from 2nd to Civic Center. Stick around and get your jig on and jollies on for the Paddy’s Day party from 2pm through 6pm . Slaintë!
