The Warriors' future is in flux. After the team's season-ending play-in loss in Sacramento, there are myriad questions about what the next few years of basketball in San Francisco will look like.

Steve Kerr joined Willard and Dibs after the Warriors' exit interviews Wednesday and admitted he isn't even sure what the future will look like. But changes are coming.

"I don't think we really know," Kerr said. "This offseason is going to different. If the first time I think that I've really felt like there needs to be some change, but I don't know what it is. I don't know that Mike [Dunleavy] knows yet. What we do have is a lot of evidence and a lot of clarity on this year's team and some of the things we lacked and some of the things we need to improve upon."

Regarding Klay Thompson, Kerr said he's "really not" nervous about the future Hall of Famer taking his talents elsewhere. He said it's an advantageous position for Thompson, but expects him to be back. It was an echo of what he, Stephen Curry and Draymond Green have all said thus far.

"I think he should be a Warrior for life and I just think that he's still got some good years left in him, but what we have to figure out organizationally is, what does that look like on the floor?" Kerr said. "The business stuff will be taken care of. That stuff will be negotiated all that stuff, but what does our team look like next year? We have to we have to put the pieces together."

He circled back on the big picture changes for the Warriors, acknowledging that the amount of money spent on the roster will decrease.

"Personally, I don't think it makes sense to have a massive payroll right now with our team," Kerr said. "It just doesn't. To spend that kind of money, and Joe has been incredibly generous and so aggressive, really attacking, looking for championships. But at some point, you can't spend this much money for a team that didn't make the playoffs. So we have a lot of decisions to make and a lot of a lot of questions to answer."
