49ers discussing Aiyuk, Samuel trades in effort to move up in 1st round [report]s

The 49ers are trying to make moves. With the NFL Draft just a couple of hours from kicking off, San Francisco is working the phones.

According to The Athletic's Diana Russini, the 49ers have had conversations with teams about dealing one of their two star receivers in Brandon Aiyuk or Deebo Samuel in an effort to make a move up in the first round of the draft.

This is in contrast to a previous report from the San Francisco Chronicle's Mike Silver, who reported that Samuel had been assured by the 49ers that he would not be traded.

Silver, however, said that Samuel's situation is currently fluid, and that his name came up in Aiyuk discussions. He said the 49ers would have to be "blown away" by an offer for him.

In short, the 49ers are getting interest for both of their receivers, and would like to move up in the first round. Both, however, won't be available cheaply. The next few hours should be tense.
