Will the Brandon Aiyuk saga take another turn, or find its resolution? Aiyuk, who has made his displeasure over contract negotiations with the 49ers clear, is set to play on his fifth-year option at $14.1 million if the two sides cannot come to an agreement.

In an effort to find some clarity, Aiyuk is meeting with the 49ers Monday, per ESPN's Ryan Clark. Clark, who had Aiyuk on his podcast, The Pivot, reported that it is a meeting Aiyuk requested, and that he has been disgruntled by the negotiations. Adam Schefter confirmed the meeting.

"Brandon Aiyuk told us that he wanted to set this meeting up himself and when he was sitting with The Pivot, he said that he's taking these negotiations personal, that the way that they have negotiated with him, the way that they have told him why he's worth what he's worth, it has touched him," Clark said. "It has affected him. He says he wants to be in San Francisco first, but is comfortable playing elsewhere, if that's something that the San Francisco 49ers are willing to do via trade.

"And I will tell you this, when he sat with us, he did not walk into the room alone. First it was Brandon Aiyuk. Second, it was Jayden Daniels. I'm not a tea leaf reader. But the way that that sounds is that Brandon Aiyuk wouldn't mind playing in Washington."

In the TikTok Aiyuk posted, in which he said "they don't want me back," Aiyuk was FaceTiming Jayden Daniels. The two played together at Arizona State and have remained close.

Will anything come from this? Based on the way the 49ers have negotiated contracts, this could linger later into the summer. But Aiyuk is clearly eager to have negotiations settled, as he seeks a deal likely close to $30 million per year.
