The Philadelphia 76ers fell short of their team goals in 2023-2024, concluding their season with a 4-2 first round loss at the hands of Coach Tom Thibodeau's New York knicks.

The 76ers dealt with an injury to former league MVP Joel Embiid during the series and were ultimately outgunned in the backcourt as Brunson finished them off with 41 points in the clinching Game 6.

On Monday, the Sixers' top guard talent, Tyrese Maxey, said goodbye to a teammate who had a big impact on his career during his time in the City of Brotherly Love.

Melton split time with Kelly Oubre Jr. in the Sixers' backcourt this season, playing alongside Maxey at times and averaging 11.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and three assists per contest.

The points total represented a career high for Melton, who played in just one playoff game for the Sixers while recovering from a back injury.
