    Stolen credit cards found in petty theft arrest in Colma

    ( KRON ) – Two San Francisco residents were found with multiple credit cards not in their name in a petty theft arrest, according to the Colma Police Department.

    The theft occurred around 9:18 p.m. on Thursday at a business on Colma Boulevard. Responding officers were made aware that two men stole merchandise, fled through the emergency fire exit and were seen walking towards a nearby cemetery.

    Officers conducted an area check at the cemetery where police said they located the suspects and the merchandise. After the store's loss prevention officer positively identified the suspects, they were arrested.

    Colma PD said they located multiple credit cards that did not belong to the suspects on both suspects’ persons.

    According to the police investigation, the suspects stole approximately $500.64 worth of merchandise combined.

    The suspects were identified as San Francisco residents 22-year-old Anthony Ball and 27-year-old Cody Thomas. Both were arrested for petty theft, conspiracy to commit a crime and misappropriation of found property. The suspects were issued a citation for the charges and released on the promise to appear in court, police said.
