Draymond Green Shares Free Agency Revelation After Klay Thompson’s Exit

The Golden State Warriors are set to begin a new era after Klay Thompson left for the Dallas Mavericks . The days of Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson are over in the Bay Area.

Moreover, Draymond Green revealed that he also almost left the team last offseason. During an episode of The Draymond Green Show , the Warriors forward mentioned he almost signed with the Memphis Grizzlies.

"Last year during free agency, I called Klay and I called Steph, separate calls. , and Steve. And I was just telling me like, 'Yo, I'm leaving. I'm going to Memphis.' I remember that call with them."

However, Green ended up back with the Warriors on a four-year deal worth $100 million.

But he was close to going to the Memphis Grizzlies and joining forces with Jaren Jackson Jr. and Ja Morant.

Given the recent history and chippiness between these two teams, seeing Green in a Grizzlies uniform would be something else. But, thankfully for Golden State, they were able to fork over the money to keep Green in town for the next few years.
