Deputies in San Francisco on Wednesday arrested a person who was being evicted who allegedly barricaded themselves in the residence and fired shots through the door.

Deputies were serving an eviction notice in the area of 14th Street and Roosevelt Way around 10:45 a.m. when the resident allegedly fired multiple rounds of unknown caliber at officers through the door.

According to the sheriff's office, the area was immediately evacuated and a perimeter was set up. Tactical teams were called in to negotiate with the suspect, but those attempts were unsuccessful.

The suspect was eventually taken into custody after negotiations, but the sheriff's office did not provide details about the arrest.

No officers were injured, nor did deputies return fire, according to the San Francisco Sheriff's Office.
