The Golden State Warriors may have let one of the best shooters in NBA history walk in free agency this past week, with Klay Thompson leaving for the Dallas Mavericks. However, they did a pretty job of filling that spot with one of the best shooters in recent history.

On Thursday, it was reported that the Warriors executed a sign-and-trade with the Philadelphia 76ers that will land Buddy Hield in San Francisco, alongside Stephen Curry.

Now, with these two representing a new version of the "Splash Brothers," an eye-popping statistic is coming to the surface, highlighted by the announcement tweet from The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Over the last five years, Hield has actually made more three-pointers than Curry.

Since 2019, Hield has made 1,322 three-pointers, which is the most in the league. Curry is right behind him with 1,264 made threes.

While Curry has a higher shooting percentage — 40.6% — than Hield — 39.0% — during that time, this stat shows how truly good this pair could potentially be playing together in Golden State.

It will be tough to see Curyy play with someone other than Thompson, but the Warriors certainly got better with the new addition.
