Pleasure boat rider endures medical emergency near Golden Gate Bridge: SFFD

( KRON ) — The San Francisco Fire Department’s marine rescue crews responded to a person on a pleasure boat who was experiencing a medical emergency on Saturday morning.

At around 11 a.m., a San Francisco Police Department Marine Rescue boat requested an SFFD paramedic rescue boat to respond to the person experiencing the medical emergency. That person was on a 15-foot pleasure boat near the Golden Gate Bridge, SFFD said.

Officials did not provide specific information on the medical emergency itself. SFFD and SFPD marine crews said they were able to provide care for the person on the pleasure boat.
