Brandon Aiyuk Trade Rumors: Receiver's Cryptic Social Media Post Sparks New Speculation

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk has the rumor mill churning once again after a cryptic social media post hinting at a new destination.

Aiyuk took to TikTok on Sunday to share a picture of practice film from the Washington Commanders. Aiyuk had already named the Commanders as a potential destination as his future with the 49ers remains uncertain, leading many to believe that the post was a hint about his future.

In an appearance on The Pivot Podcast in June, Aiyuk said he will most likely return to San Francisco for the coming season but said there could be a few other possibilities, including Washington.

"If I were to take a guess, probably a Niner uniform," Aiyuk said in. "Probably a Niner uniform. I mean, if not a Niner uniform, probably a Washington Commander uniform. If not a Washington Commander uniform, probably a Steelers uniform."

Other analysts believe Pittsburgh could be a frontrunner. Reporter Marcus Mosher of The 33rd Team noted that the Steelers are in need of a new top wide receiver and Aiyuk could fit the bill.

"The Steelers traded away Diontae Johnson this offseason and never adequately replaced him," Mosher wrote. "They did draft Roman Wilson in round three, but he is more of a pure slot receiver than an 'X' who can create separation against man coverage."
