Steph Curry Makes Major Announcement On His Warriors Future After Klay Thompson's Exit

Klay Thompson's departure from the Golden State Warriors officially marked the end of an era for the Dubs. It has been a hard pill to swallow for Dubs fans everywhere, and this has also been the case for Klay's ex-teammates.

For his part, Steph Curry has admitted that seeing his former Splash Brother take his talents to the Dallas Mavericks has been "tough," and that he would have loved to see their careers end together in Golden State.

Despite Klay's exit, however, Curry himself made it abundantly clear that he wasn't going anywhere.

" Being in one place for my own career and it's like a broken record, but I know it's really hard to do that," said the former back-to-back MVP, via Kendra Andrews of ESPN.

"I want to be greedy and say we can be relevant and be in the mix and give ourselves a realistic chance to win while I'm still growing these gray hairs and doing high school visits in the bay for my daughter. It's crazy. (It's) just the nature of where I'm at. But yes, all that to say I love the Bay and the Bay is home and I never want that to change."

This is exactly the type of statement Dub Nation needs right now to help soften Thompson's departure. The five-time NBA All-Star may be long gone, but the bigger takeaway is that Curry's loyalty remains unquestionably tied to the Warriors.
