Watch: Warriors share tribute video for Klay Thompson

Klay Thompson’s chapter with the Golden State Warriors is over. The NBA’s first-ever six-team trade, which was headlined by Thompson’s departure from Golden State to the Dallas Mavericks, is officially official, marking the end of a decorated 13-season run in the Bay Area that featured four championships.

While Thompson has already bid farewell to the Bay Area on Instagram, the Warriors took to social media to pay tribute to their now-former All-Star shooting guard. The Warriors shared a flurry of content based around Thompson on Twitter, including an emotional tribute video for the four-time champion.

Starting with the moment he was drafted by the Warriors, the video featured moments from Thompson’s career, including his return from injury and his memorable game-six performance against the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2016. The video also included words from Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Steve Kerr.

The Warriors also shared a video that is one-hour long featuring Thompson’s best moments as a member of the Warriors.

All eyes will now be on the NBA schedule makers for Thompson’s already highly-anticipated return to San Francisco’s Chase Center as a member of the Mavericks.
