Draymond Green's Emotional Admission About Klay Thompson's Warriors Departure

The Golden State Warriors will look much different in 2024 and beyond. Klay Thompson left Golden State for the first time since entering the NBA, ending the talented trio along with Stephen Curry and Draymond Green.

Curry paid a farewell to Thompson recently , and Green has recently opened up about Thompson's departure, saying how he is feeling about all of it during an interview at the Las Vegas Summer League.

"It's a classic tale of suppressing your emotions right now. I haven't allowed myself to really process it. I don't want to. I feel like I'll face it when I have to face it," Green said.

The Warriors forward then admitted he is happy for Thompson: "I'm happy for Klay...I think he is going to have a really good year and he is going to show people he still got a lot left in the tank."

The Warriors trio have been teammates ever since entering the NBA, so it will be a surreal feeling not to see Thompson in the Bay Area next season and beyond. Curry also admitted it will be "tough" not having the second half of the "Spash Brothers" on the roster, but that's the way the NBA goes.

Thompson joined the Dallas Mavericks on a sign-and-trade, in turn agreeing to a three-year deal worth $50 million to team up with the reigning Western Conference champions.

But, all in all, Green hopes the best for Klay Thompson and says he still has a lot left in the tank.
