49ers superstar cracks exclusive list after last year's stellar season

The San Francisco 49ers have some serious question marks that need to be answered over the next few weeks.

Training camp will be here before you know it and the biggest question looming over the 49ers' front office is the future of Brandon Aiyuk. Will the two sides come to terms on a new contract? Will Aiyuk's trade request be fulfilled?

The saga should come to an end in the near future. No matter what happens, though, Aiyuk has cemented himself as one of the top receivers in football.

Aiyuk even was voted as the No. 10 receiver in the National Football League, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

"Aiyuk won a tiebreaker with (Los Angeles Rams) receiver Cooper Kupp thanks to his breakout 1,342-yard season in 2023," Fowler said. "Aiyuk has come a long way from starting his career in Kyle Shanahan's doghouse due to inconsistencies as a rookie. He's worked his way into premier status.

"'More downfield production, huge jump in yards per catch, quietly has almost 300 (career) catches,' said an NFL executive who voted Aiyuk top-three. 'Excels as a blocker. Lower body ability is as good as anyone.' Aiyuk, who has 269 career catches through four seasons, upped his yards per catch from 14.8 to 17.9 in 2023, trailing only George Pickens (18.1). More than 37 percent of his receptions went for 20-plus yards, tops in the NFL (minimum 100 targets)."

Aiyuk certainly is one of the best receivers in the league and cracking this list is just another example of why the 49ers should find a way to make a long-term partnership work out.
