Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry was simply in awe of Simone Biles after he got a closer look at what the USA Gymnastics star can do.

On Thursday, Curry and several members of Team USA went to Bercy Arena in Paris to watch the all-round final of women's gymnastics. Biles bagged gold in the competition, edging Brazil's Rebeca Andrade in what was a surprisingly close encounter.

Biles scored a total of 59.131 to beat Andrade, who settled for silver with 57.932—a 1.199 difference.

It wasn't easy, however, as Andrade took the lead for a brief period after scoring big on both the vault and uneven bars. She tallied a combined 29.766 after the two routines, while Biles had 29.499.

In the end, a strong finish on the floor exercise that saw her score 15.066 allowed Biles to earn her second gold in Paris and sixth in her career.

Curry was impressed by the "clutchness" that Biles showed, adding that it was "ridiculous to watch." The Warriors guard also heaped praise on Biles' USA teammate Sunisa Lee, who grabbed bronze in the event.

"I’ve watched it on TV but never been in the arena before. To see that athleticism, the clutchness of Simone and Suni in that moment, knowing what they had to do and going out and doing it was absolutely incredible," Curry shared, via Associated Press.

"They are ridiculous to watch. To see that athleticism, it’s insane."

Those are certainly massive praises from a player of Steph Curry's stature, but they're warranted. After all, Simone Biles just became the most decorated American gymnast in history regardless of gender. She surpassed gymnastic legend Anton Heida for the honor.

Moreover, Biles is just the third woman after Larisa Latynina (1956, 1960) and Vera Caslavska (1964, 1968) to win the women's individual all-around two times. She also won gold in the event back in 2016.

Luckily for Curry and other gymnastics fans, Biles is still scheduled to compete in three more individual events (vault, balance beam and floor exercise). That said, there should be more opportunities to watch her fight for gold.
