Observations from Giants camp, Friday, Aug. 2.

    Caught my eye

EDGE Brian Burns put a sick spin move on RT Jermaine Eluemunor and would’ve had a fourth-down sack (one of multiple sacks on the day) to end a move-the-ball period if tackling was allowed. The play continued and Jones scrambled and fired a touchdown pass to Jalin Hyatt for one of Hyatt’s two nice toe-tapping catches against a boundary.

I urge you to watch Brian Burns spin move on this play and not the ball. Wouldve been a sack. Good end zone footwork by Jalin Hyatt at the end #Giants #Giants100 pic.twitter.com/mdpdQhAP5n

    Good

CB Cor’Dale Flott bounced back from a rough practice Thursday to win the majority of his reps. He had a pass break-up against Hyatt and blanket coverage on an overthrow to Isaiah Hodgins in the end zone. In his toughest matchup, against Malik Nabers, he won one with a breaking one-hand deflection and lost one when he was put in a blender.

    Bad

The starting offense was stuck in reverse during a two-minute drill, which led to Daniel Jones chucking up a fourth-and-long prayer down the middle of the field to Nabers. Safety Jason Pinnock made an acrobatic interception.

    Injury report

OL Josh Ezeudu, who is splitting reps at tackle and guard, was carted off near the end of practice after he was limping around the field. WR Isaiah McKenzie was down for several minutes after taking a knee in his back while running an end-around. TE Jack Stoll left the field under a trainer’s eye after reaching for his knee.
