Twenty centuries after archeological excavators unearthed the first warehouse—140 rooms covering 225,000 square feet—on the banks of Rome’s Tiber River, San Francisco’s Prologis Inc. introduced the first multi-story storage structure in the US. Hailed as an innovative solution to storage and distribution in America, the three-floor...

Are the Warriors still shopping Andrew Wiggins?
It’s been a long, but incredibly slow offseason in the NBA, and there’s still a lot of time left for it to keep being long and slow. It’s been so long and slow, in fact, that we’re still less than a month removed from a report that the Golden State Warriors were “aggressively” shopping All-Star wing Andrew Wiggins.

49ers reached out to Bill Belichick about joining staff
At a few points during the Kyle Shanahan era, the 49ers showed interest in Tom Brady. One of those memorably included John Lynch asking about the then-Patriots quarterback and Bill Belichick quickly dismissing anything of the sort. With Brady now retired, the 49ers did turn their attention to his longtime head coach.
Terry Gross – “Sheepskin City”
Along with bassist Donny Newenhouse and drummer Phil Becker, Trans Am guitarist Phil Manley owns the Bay Area recording studio known simply as El Studio. The three musicians also have a band called Terry Gross, who should totally tour with ira glass. In September, Terry Gross will release their sophomore album, humorously titled Huge Improvement. Today we hear its hard and frenetic lead single “Sheepskin City,” named for a dearly departed San Francisco business.

Safe Street Rebel: The Guerrilla Network Keeping SF’s Streets Safe and Playful
There’s a quiet rebellion keeping our streets safe and full of shenanigans. You might be part of the network. If you’ve ever seen a video of someone “coning” a Waymo, you know Safe Street Rebel’s work. It’s a way to confuse a self-driving car by placing a rubber traffic cone on the hood, and it sort of makes the vehicle look like a unicorn’s less graceful cousin, the narwhal. This kind of activity is one of the many in the informal group’s portfolio of direct action, guerilla activism, and what we’d label as ‘creative placemaking.’ We at BrokeAssStuart.com can’t technically condone some of the stuff they do, although it’s often hilarious (just like us).

Are small electric vehicles safe? Rising accident rates say no
The popularity of small electric vehicles, especially e-scooters and e-bikes, has skyrocketed over the past few years. These vehicles are no longer just interesting curiosities but are now woven into the fabric of urban transport, changing how we navigate our cities. However, with this rapid rise in electric vehicle use comes a surge in accidents.

Even Before the First Practice the Giants are on Plan B for the O-Line
The Giants have everybody (rookies last week, veterans today) in preseason camp. But before the team hits the field, RT Evan Neal enters the preseason on the active Player Unable to Perform (PUP) List which is already forcing the Giants staff to go with Plan B on the offensive line. This move was hinted at given Neal did not participate in the June minicamp. He is recovering from offseason ankle surgery earlier this year. It is rumored the healing process has been complicated and slower than expected.
