Ground breaking ceremony set for state highways 99, 120 connector project
The San Joaquin Council of Governments is set to host a groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday in Manteca for a project on the connector between state Highways 99 and 120. SJCOG, the planning, financing, and coordinating agency for the San Joaquin region overseeing transportation, housing and habitat conservation, said the project will improve traffic safety, reduce traffic congestion, better the movement of good and transportation for people, and cut greenhouse gas emissions to improve air quality.
Man Allegedly Leads San Joaquin County Deputies on High-Speed Pursuit in Stolen Vehicle

According the Sheriff’s Office, a deputy on patrol locatedthe stolen vehicle in the Morada area on Sunday, June 30th. The deputy attempted a traffic stop near Highway 99 West Frontage Road and Ashley Lane, but the driver allegedly did not yield, resulting in a pursuit on southbound Highway 99.

A program that will allow farmers and ranchers to access their land to help animals during natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, storms, and wildfires was approved by the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors.
