Fire crews continue fighting Babylon Fire as increased temperatures contribute to growth
PRICE, Utah (KUTV) — The Babylon Fire has reached 50% containment. The fire, located west of Blanding in San Juan County, was first reported on July 5 neat Steamboat Point on the Monticello Ranger District. Since then, the fire has grown to approximately 200 acres, the U.S. Forest Service said.

Father, daughter die after running out of water while hiking in extreme heat at national park
MOAB, Utah — A father and daughter hiking in a national park during extreme heat were found dead after they reportedly got lost and ran out of water, authorities say. Albino Herrera Espinoza, 52, and Beatriz Herrera, 23, both from Green Bay, Wisconsin, were found dead in the Upheaval Dome area of Canyonlands National Park, according to the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office.
