87-year-old man in critical but stable condition

    – The San Luis Obispo Police Department it investigating a hit-and-run incident involving a vehicle and two bicyclists that occurred on Tuesday, July 23, at 12 p.m. on the 2800 block of S. Higuera.

Officers responded to a local hospital after being alerted that an 87-year-old man had been seriously injured in a possible traffic collision. The man was transported to the hospital by ambulance, but no prior call had been made to the SLOPD Dispatch Center regarding the incident.

A white four-door sedan was seen fleeing the scene shortly after the collision. The driver is wanted for questioning.

The San Luis Obispo Police Department is seeking assistance from the public. Anyone with information regarding the incident or the suspect vehicle is urged to contact SLOPD at (805) 781-7312 and reference case number 240723046.
