San Marcos falls to Austin Anderson 3-1

San Marcos dropped their non-district game against Austin Anderson as the Rattlers start district play this Friday.

San Marcos fell to the Austin Anderson Trojans 3-1 [25-19, 21-25, 2725, 25-16] last Friday in the Rattlers non-district game.

The Rattlers drop their overall record to 11-10.

San Marcos battled Anderson close in the first before the Trojans defeated the Rattlers 2519.

The Rattlers bounced back, however, defeating Anderson 25-21 to tie the match up at 1-1.

Going into a pivotal third set, both the Rattlers and the Trojans fought tooth and nail to gain the advantage.

San Marcos fell just short as Anderson won the third set in a close battle 27-25.

The Trojans shut the door on the Rattlers comeback hopes by taking the fourth set 2516.

San Marcos was back in action Tuesday after the Daily Record’s time of press in their final non-district game of the season against the Austin St. Michael Warriors.

The Rattlers will start district play this Friday against the Buda Johnson Jaguars. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Johnson High School.
