( KRON ) — More than 15,000 PG&E customers in the East Bay lost their power Tuesday evening, according to PG&E’s outage map. Cities affected by the outage include Pleasant Hill, Walnut Creek, Danville, San Ramon and Dublin.

The outages are related to the ongoing heat wave in the East Bay, officials said. The majority of customers affected live in the San Ramon area.

As of 9 p.m., a total of 15,553 customers in the area had reported an outage.

Power was later restored in West Dublin.

These outages are not related to the Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) issued earlier in the week, KRON4 reported. The PSPS affected more of the northern counties in the Bay Area, including Napa, Solano and Sonoma.
