Texas Teachers Are The Most Overworked In The U.S.
It certainly appears that we aren't taking very good care of our teachers. A number of Texas school districts have kicked off the school year. This type of thing would never be on my radar, except for the fact that a number of teachers posted their Amazon wish lists online in order to receive a little help. If you're unfamiliar with the phenomenon, the teachers are so desperate for classroom basics that they are turning to their communities for a little support. I have to say, it's a bit embarrassing that the State Of Texas doesn't give teachers what they need to do their jobs.

Man held after Killeen violent domestic, strangulation
Killeen, Tx (FOX 44) – Bond has been set at $100,000 for a Killeen man arrested after a woman told police she had been strangled and threatened with a gun. Killeen PD spokesperson Ofelia Miramontez said 26-year-old Jolanie Malek Presnall was arrested and a .40 caliber handgun recovered during the course of the investigation. Miramontez said it happened Tuesday in the 1300 block of Wales Drive. Officers were called about 12:09 a.m. and met the victim at the Killeen Walmart where she had driven after making her escape.
