Someburros Mexican restaurant’s first location in San Tan Valley opens on Saturday.

The almost 40-year-old Arizona restaurant chain is set to open at 9 a.m., Saturday, June 15, at the northeast corner of Gantzel and Combs roads, 440 E. Combs Road with live mariachi music, enter-to-win raffle contests and an appearance by Someburros’ burro mascot, “Nacho.”

“Someburros is more than just a restaurant; it's a home away from home, where people come together to share family meals, celebrate milestones, and create lasting memories. San Tan Valley’s commitment to its residents is exceptional and we can’t wait  to share my family’s well-loved recipes with the community," stated Tim Vasquez, president and owner of Someburros, in a press release from the company.

Someburros San Tan Valley will feature recipes derived from Sonora, Mexico, highlighting the Vasquez family’s traditional dishes created by family matriarch, Nana Isabel.

The drive-thru will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday for to-go orders. Daily dine-in hours will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Someburros is locally owned, and family operated. It has 16 locations in Arizona. Next up in the Someburros expansion is a West Valley location in Buckeye which is planned for the beginning of 2025.
