    Pinal County hosts drug take-back in San Tan Valley

    The Pinal County Attorney's Office will be holding a document shredding and prescription drug take-back in San Tan Valley this weekend.

    This is an opportunity to dispose of sensitive documents such as old tax forms or medical information.

    The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting the prescription drug take-back.

    The event  runs from 8 to 10 a.m.,  Saturday, June 15 at the Walmart in  San Tan Valley, 1724 W. Hunt Highway.

    Unused and expired prescription solid medication tablets, capsules and pet medication will be accepted

    PCSO will not accept injectables, syringes, needles EpiPens, asthma inhalers, thermometers, intravenous solutions, creams or liquids.

    During the event, the public is asked to donate toiletries to benefit Pinal County shelters. Items needed include toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, shampoo, soap and feminine products.

    Cases of water for local law enforcement agencies will also be accepted.
