MINNEAPOLIS — The global Microsoft outage is causing mass flight cancellations and delays nationwide Friday morning, including at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. The outage is being caused by a CrowdStrike software glitch.As of about 8:30 a.m., some airlines were beginning to resume operations after the morning ground stops."Cancellations and delays could continue throughout the day with slower check-in and wait times. Gov. Walz encourages applications to three programs for new farmers
(Pine Island, MN)--Gov. Tim Walz wants new farmers to take advantage of three state programs to help them get started in agriculture. The governor was in Pine Island this week to talk about the need to get more young people interested in farming. Walz said the state will begin accepting applications for the beginning farmer loan program, the down payment assistance program and the beginning farmer tax credit on August 1st.

A Minnesota prefabricated concrete firm with locations in Wisconsin has acquired another precast company, growing to 20 locations nationwide. Albany, Minn.-based Wells Concrete on Tuesday announced it acquired GATE Precast, a subsidiary of GATE Petroleum Company based in Jacksonville, Fla. The two companies together have 110 years of combined experience.
