PARIS – Christopher Blevins will be all dressed up, but he won’t go. The Opening Ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics will be like no other. An estimated 10,000 athletes and another 3,000 dancers will float down the Seine River on boats in an open-air celebration. Arizona DPS Troopers were forced to get creative to save a distressed kitten trapped near a Valley freeway. The agency shared a video of an incident back in May after a man was seen leaning over the edge of a freeway in Tempe. 911 callers were worried he was suicidal, but it turns out he was trying to save a kitten trapped on the side of the overpass.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A Bernalillo County jail is investigating another inmate being wrongfully released from a facility. It's thethird time it has happened in July. The Metropolitan Detention Center said it incorrectly released Desiree Sanchez, 44, on Wednesday, July 24. She was booked on charges of armed robbery and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
