Vermont State Police responded to SE Corners Road for reports of a crash involving a pedestrian. Officials say an investigation found a 2001 white Jeep Cherokee was towing a 1994 green Jeep Cherokee with a chain.

Police say the green Jeep was being steered by the crash victim. As the white Jeep drove up an incline the driveshaft broke, causing both to roll backward. Both drivers jumped out of the cars they were controlling, but the driver in the green Jeep tripped and fell, and couldn’t get out of the way before the white Jeep rolled back.
