34-year-old from Fremont in critical condition after crash on Saturday
FREMONT, Ohio â A Fremont man is in the hospital after a crash in Ballville Township in Sandusky County on Saturday afternoon. The Ohio State Highway Patrol says 34-year-old Robert Severs, of Fremont, was driving east on County Road 201, near Smith Road, around 12:22 p.m. when he lost control of his vehicle, went off the left side of the road, and struck a utility pole.
Man badly injured in one-car crash in Sandusky County
FREMONT â A Fremont man was severely injured Sunday when the minivan he drove hit a utility pole and rolled several times, the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported. Robert B. Severs, 34, was taken to Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo following the crash reported at 12:20 p.m. on Sandusky County Road 201 east of Smith Road in Ballville Township, troopers from the patrolâs Fremont post said. Mr. Severs was eastbound on Road 201 when the Honda Odyssey he drove ran off the left side of the road, hit the pole, and rolled, causing him to be completely ejected from the vehicle, troopers said. The patrol said he was in critical condition at the hospital. Impairment was not believed to be a factor in the crash, which remained under investigation later Sunday.
Pub puts on fun event
FREMONT â Pub 400, owned by Greg and Tiffany Garcia in Fremont hosted the latest Business After Hours event put on by the Sandusky County Chamber of Commerce. "The food was great as always â wow, that pizza â and the drinks were cold, which was important on an unusually warm 92-degree day," according to a chamber statement. "Many thanks to our members who joined us, and thanks again to Pub 400 for a great time."
