City of Howell "United" in Condemning Hateful Demonstration
The following is a joint statement from the city, chamber and diversity council regarding Saturday's demonstration in Howell:. This afternoon a group of about a dozen demonstrators chanting "Heil Hitler" with their faces covered and carrying white supremacist signs gathered on the Livingston County Courthouse lawn. They proceeded to march down Grand River Ave to continue their demonstration on the lawn of the Howell Carnegie District Library. A library board member confronted them and told them that they did not have permission to be there and needed to leave. They then dispersed and proceeded to their cars, all the while being monitored by City of Howell police. Howell Police were able to make contact with several of the demonstrators confirming that all those contacted came from outside of our community, as far away as Saginaw and Macomb Counties. Although we recognize their right to free speech, these demonstrators do not reflect the values of the Howell community. The incident was terminated within a half-hour of when it began. The City of Howell, the Livingston Diversity Council and the Howell Area Chamber of Commerce stand united in condemning this group's racist ideology. We are very proud to be a welcoming and inclusive community, and this is likely why we were targeted by this outside group. We would also like to acknowledge all our residents who quickly reacted to this event and made it clear that we do not share their views.

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — If candidate Joe Biden had asked Governor Whitmer to be his running mate in 2020, she confirmed she would have said yes. Michigan Native’s Unique National Anthem Overshadows Home Run Derby
The Home Run Derby is one of the most exciting events in all of sports, its comparable to the 3-point shootout, the dunk contest, hockey shootout, penalty kicks, and other all-star/ skill competitions that take place in sports. Both die-hard and casual baseball fans turn their heads and give their undivided attention to the MLB Home Run Derby and celebrate all of the moonshot mania that occurs. I would say this year's Derby was no different but that couldn't be farther from the truth.

Reese Olson was injured during Saturday’s game against the Blue Jays. The Detroit Tigers have made a series of roster moves, including an unfortunate announcement regarding right-hander Reese Olson. Sprong Signs With Vancouver For Half as Much
Former Red Wings forward Daniel Sprong was considered the most desirable player still in the free agent market and yet he didn’t benefit much from that status. Sprong signed with the Vancouver Canucks for one year at $975,000 — that’s a salary cut from the $2 million he earned last season with the Red Wings. Based on his 18 goals and 43 points last season, AFP Analytics projected Sprong might get a two-year deal worth $2.5 million this season.

Every year John Lusk meets his friends near the Port Huron Yacht Club, setting up camp in the shade of the same tree to watch the parade of boats heading to the start of the Port Huron-to-Mackinac Island Sailboat Race. It's a fun tradition among the friends, but every year it seemed...
LSU aiming to flip a recent Michigan football commitment
Rankings are important. But they don't tell the whole story and in the 2025 class, one of my favorite commitments for Michigan football is Phillip Wright, who just happens to be one of the lowest-ranked commitments for the Wolverines as of right now. Wright has been moving up though. He...
