The summer of strangeness continues at Cedar Point .

First the amusement park's much ballyhooed revamped roller coaster the Top Thrill 2 had to be parked just days after its launch for repairs that continue today.

Then two of the park's resident camels took a stroll down Frontier Trail followed days later by a parade of escaped goats from the Barn Yard.

And now a photo of a spectacular waterspout on Lake Erie by the Sandusky park was posted on social media Thursday morning.

There were no reports of damage or injuries from the waterspout that was reportedly spotted just outside of the park around 8:30 a.m.

Cedar Point had not yet opened for the day when the waterspout formed.

The National Weather Service on Thursday morning posted warnings to boaters and for those along the lakeshore that waterspouts were possible.

The weather service says this type of so-called fair weather waterspout forms over the surface of Lake Erie and are typically small, brief and not dangerous.

These waterspouts are triggered by colder air passing over the warmer lake and typically last anywhere from two to 20 minutes.
