With the return of warm weather it is high time in Sandy for the Hull Park and Learning Center's annual high tea.

Every year (with the exception of 2020-2021), the nonprofit that offers recreational opportunities and resources for those living with low to no vision hosts a tea party fundraiser.

This year the festivities will take place at the park, 43233 S.E. Oral Hull Road, Sandy, from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, July 20.

"I like the community getting together," said Executive Director Monica Butler. "It's great to see generations coming together and dressing up and bringing back that nostalgia of a tea party."

The event will include tea, sweet and savory treats, a raffle, a silent auction and contests for funniest, fanciest and also most flower-covered hats.

Items up for auction will include baskets from Cup of Tea in Clackamas, tickets to the Japanese Garden in Portland, multiple gardening themed baskets, as well as others donated by local businesses, such as Gresham Ford, Just Rum, the North American Bigfoot Center.

The event is family friendly and several other auction and raffle items will offer opportunities for more family fun.

Tickets are $25 per person or $45 for two. Kids ages 10-18 years old are able to attend for $10; children ages 5-9 enter for $5 ; and children younger than four can participate free of charge.
