After a month of community fundraising, Clackamas County Bank presented Mt. Hood Hospice with a check for $30,475.78 on July 17.

On the Sandy-area calendar, June has become known as Support Mt. Hood Hospice Month for the past several years. The month-long fundraising efforts benefit the local nonprofit hospice organization and the services it provides to terminally ill patients, the patients’ pets and patients’ loved ones.

“Our family would like to thank all those who so generously donated to make our fundraiser for Mt. Hood Hospice the success it was this year,” said CCB President Justin Stuchlik. “Our fundraising partnership with Mt. Hood Hospice started years ago as a way to honor the memory of my late uncle Randy Proctor, past president of the bank, who helped start up Mt. Hood Hospice and served on their board for years. Mt. Hood Hospice is an essential part of our community that we always enjoy working with.”

The entire Stuchlik family expressed their appreciation of the community’s generosity this year. As did the nonprofit’s director.

“It is hard to express in words what the partnership with Clackamas County Bank and the community donations through the years mean to us,” said Rhonda Franke, director of Mt. Hood Hospice. “These funds help support our Pet Peace of Mind Program and the unfunded care services provided. Because of this support we can continue with our mission of providing quality care regardless of the ability to pay. It is an honor that Clackamas County Bank has dedicated the month of June as Support Mt. Hood Hospice.”
