Mountain Top Fire Company announces dates for annual Sandy Ridge homecoming

CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — The Mountain Top Fire Company is celebrating its annual Sandy Ridge Homecoming this August.

One of the fire company’s biggest fundraisers of the year is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 8 through Saturday, Aug. 10, and will take place at the fire station grounds at 392 State Street, in Sandy Ridge.

Below is a list of events.

• Thursday, Aug. 8
  • The pet/bike parade begins lineup at the church on State St./Oak St. Everyone is invited to participate. There will be cash prizes for both categories.
  • Fire truck rides
  • Food stands open at 6 p.m.
• Friday, Aug. 9
  • There will be a homemade pie sale at 5:30 p.m.
  • The Moore Brothers will take the stage at 7 p.m.
• Saturday, Aug. 10
  • Food Stand will open at 5 p.m.
  • PSP will have a DUI simulator demonstration at 6 p.m.
  • Fireman’s parade lineup begins on the 600 block of Oak St. near the park at 6 p.m., parade starts at 7. Everyone can participate, and cash prizes will be awarded

There will be food, games and raffles each night, including the area’s biggest Chinese Auction each night and during Saturday afternoon.
