NJ State Triathlon to Cause Area Road Closures This Weekend
HAMILTON, NJ - On Saturday, July 20 and Sunday, July 21, thousands of athletes and spectators will take over Mercer County Park for the annual New Jersey State Triathlon. Local officials are advising residents to plan for heavier traffic, and parking restrictions along Hughes Drive from Edinburg Road to Quakerbridge Road. Closures will happen on area main roads including Old Trenton Road, Quakerbridge Road, Hughes Road and others beginning at 5:00 a.m. both days for the biking and running portions of the competition. According to the triathlon website, the race is one of the 10 largest triathlons in the nation, selling out annually to 3,500 triathletes since its inception in 2006.
