Passaic County officials announced more than $3 million in grants this week for park development and historic preservation projects. Set to be finalized by the Board of County Commissioners following a public hearing this September, the grants are due to help fund projects in 14 of the county's 16 municipalities. Awards range from $100,000 for improvements at Hershfield Park in Pompton Lakes and the baseball fields at Dotterweich Field in Wayne to $250,000 for Wayne's restoration of the Van Duyne House.
