Following back-to-back promotions, global darlings Wrexham continues their preseason ahead of their venture into League One with the first of two games in California.

Wrexham are set to face Premier League side Bournemouth on Saturday, July 20 at UC Santa Barbara's Harder Stadium in Santa Barbara, Calif. It will be Bournemouth's first match of preseason, while for Wrexham, it's the club's second — The Red Dragons beat Hanley Town 5-1 on July 13.

Coach Phil Parkinson will be looking to lead Wrexham to another top-three finish and he's assembled — with the help of Hollywood actor owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenny — a talented roster, now featuring new signings from the books of Leicester City and Aston Villa.

Bournemouth meanwhile starts a two-week stint in Los Angeles with a focus on many of the players the club featured last year, including American Tyler Adams, who is back from injury.

    Wrexham vs. Bournmouth team news

Phil Parkinson brings a strong side to Southern California for preseason training, but the club is missing their talisman, Paul Mullin. The English striker is recovering from a "minor spinal surgery," per the club, and will miss the tour as he rehabilitates in the UK.

Arthur Okonkwo is back in goal for Wrexham after his contract at Arsenal ended, and new signings Sebastian Revan and Callum Burton are both in training ahead of the new season.

Andoni Iraola opens up preseason action against Wrexham with the first of two matches in the U.S. along with two weeks of training in the Los Angeles area. Iraola permanently signed Turkish striker Enes Ünal this summer after spending time on loan, and Tyler Adams should be able to feature for the Cherries after missing plenty of time last season due to injury.

    Wrexham vs. Bournemouth prediction

    • Score prediction: Bournemouth 2-1 Wrexham

As this is the first preseason match for Bournemouth and an early match for Wrexham, it's tough to predict. Both teams will likely field 22 players each, or something close to there. On paper, Bournemouth has the edge with Premier League level players, but a lack of fitness can have a way of evening things out.
