    25 short years ago, Perini Ranch Steakhouse catered a 75 th birthday celebration for wine and silver screen legend—Fess Parker—at his eponymous winery in Santa Barbara Wine Country. This year Fess would have turned 100 years old, and it’s only fitting that the momentous bday falls on the year that the winery marks its 35th Anniversary! Can you think of a better way to tie the magic all together than to offer a wonderful meal prepared by two of his favorite people—Tom and Lisa Perini—owners/operators of Perini Ranch Steakhouse ?     It’s no easy feat for Perini Ranch to make the trek all the way from Buffalo Gap, Texas to California's Central Coast with their entire team & BBQ equipment in tow...but that's exactly what they did to mark these incredible milestones, happening one-night-only for a special dinner on August 16 th . Founded in 1983 and known for its authentic “cowboy cuisine,” the world-famous Perini Ranch Steakhouse began as a chuck wagon catering company founded by Tom Perini, who is still at the helm of the brand today, alongside his wife Lisa. Located in the small West Texas town of Buffalo Gap (population 530), the destination restaurant sits on the working ranch that has been in the Perini family since 1952. They have gained a cult-like following over the years, with an American Classics James Beard Award in 2014, publishing two cookbooks, and producing of the most successful made-to-ship food products in the USA in their Mesquite Smoked Peppered Beef Tenderloin .
