A Valencia chiropractor was arrested last week in connection with a hidden camera that was found in the bathroom of his office.

Nicholas Vanderhyde, 40, from Santa Clarita, was arrested on Tuesday, June 4, in connection to a hidden camera that was found in the bathroom of Joint Chiropractic at the beginning of May.

On Wednesday, May 8, deputies responded to Joint Chiropractic in the 27000 block of McBean Parkway regarding a hidden camera found in the bathroom, said Deputy Kabrina Borbon, the former spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station in a previous KHTS article .

An employee discovered the camera connected to a power bank taped inside a cabinet directly across from the toilet, KTLA reported.

Detectives, alongside the Crime Impact Team, investigated the allegations and named Vanderhyde as a suspect of interest.

On Tuesday, June 4, Vanderhyde was arrested in the 26000 block of Bouquet Canyon Road, said Deputy Robert Jensen, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

Vanderhyde was booked into the SCV Sheriff’s Station on a felony count of possession of obscene matter depicting a minor and a misdemeanor count of photographing a person in a room, Jensen said.
