A San Ysidro man was arrested after he allegedly robbed a store in Valencia, and was found wearing the stolen item.

Around 3:40 p.m. Thursday, deputies received reports of a robbery in the 26400 block of McBean Parkway in Valencia, said Deputy Robert Jensen, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station .

“The 911 caller described a male Hispanic in his 20s wearing a blue shirt running away from the location with unpaid merchandise after assaulting one of the loss prevention agents,” Jensen said.

Deputies investigating the robbery located the man wearing one of the items he stole from the store, according to Jensen.

Jafeth Velasco, 20, from San Ysidro, was arrested for felony robbery and parole violations, according to Jensen.

Velasco was booked into the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail and appeared in court Monday morning, according to officials.
