This week, the Main kicked off the Santa Clarita Shakespeare Festival with “An Evening of Absurdity” and is set to have an additional showing along with another show in late July.

The show “An Evening of Absurdity” is set to return to the stage July 19-21. With general admission tickets priced at $26 and a discounted rate of $18 for seniors and students, this is an affordable and worthwhile investment in a unique theatrical experience.

The show is a one-act play by master absurdist Eugene Ionesco featuring two of his works: “The Bald Soprano” and “The Lesson.”

The second play at the Main is set to run from July 26 to 28. It is a Spanish-language show titled “Papa Esta en la Atlantida,” which in English translates to “Our Dad is in Atlantis.”

“Papa Esta en la Atlantida” is produced by Javier Malpica, Crezca Teatro and Off The Tracks Theatre Company. It will have English subtitles for non-Spanish speakers.

General admission tickets for “Papa Esta en la Atlantida” are only $8, while child admission is $5.
