Shell Casings Recovered After Illegal Shooting In Newhall

Detectives are investigating after shell casings were recovered in Newhall Monday evening.

Around 8 p.m. Monday, deputies responded to Valle Del Oro and Nandina Lane in Newhall regarding an illegal shooting , said Deputy Robert Jensen, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“There were no victims and four rounds were recovered,” Jensen said.

Deputies were seen blocking off Valle Del Oro near Newhall Avenue, the same area where another shooting was reported on May 5.

No other property, such as vehicles or buildings, was struck by gunfire.

As of Tuesday, detectives with the Juvenile and GANGS (JAG) team are investigating the shooting , Jensen said.

No arrests have been made.
