On Saturday, a local mom and her two daughters helped raise money for a foster youth nonprofit in Valencia by selling lemonade.

On Saturday, Jessica Delazari, with the help of her two young daughters, set up a Lemonade Stand at Mountain View Park to help support the Rise Foundation .

“This event is for the Rise Foundation, and all the proceeds are going towards helping foster youth and we are just so excited to do this,” said Delazari.

Several people showed up to help Delazari and her kids and the Rise Foundation, including the Mayor of Santa Clarita, Cameron Smyth, raising over $400.

The Rise Foundation supports children in foster care, foster parents and workers and young adults who are in or have ages out of foster care.

Rise Foundation provides resources that are set to ease transitions and improve living conditions, according to officials.

The non-profit encourages awareness and motivates community participation in support of children and young adults in foster care.

“We are very excited about helping Rise Foundation, “ said Delazari
