FIRST ALERT FORECAST - Increasing storm chances this weekend
TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - Once again, the greatest storm through Friday will be for Cochise, Santa Cruz and eastern Pima Counties. Any storm that develops can be impactful with heavy rainfall and gusty winds. High temperatures in Tucson will continue to top out in the triple digits throughout the week with warm overnight lows in the 70s and 80s. High pressure shifts east this weekend, placing southern Arizona in a more favorable flow for widespread moisture. Expect a busier start to July!
Monsoon stays relatively quiet to finish the week
TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) — Outside of strong thunderstorms over portions of Santa Cruz County and Cochise County, monsoon has remained relatively quiet for the end of the week. Monsoon activity will remain limited for the end of the week with the exception of some stronger storms that will favor areas south and southeast of Tucson.
