California bar manager dead after being punched by customer who was asked to leave: police

A beloved California bar manager died after he was punched when he asked several rowdy patrons to leave the pub.
Leonard Hector Korpie, 26, allegedly delivered a single punch to the manager during a scuffle outside Jameson’s Pub in Santa Monica around midnight Tuesday, according to police.
The manager, whose identity was not revealed, lost consciousness and was not breathing when police arrived.
The victim was reportedly a man in his early 50s, according to KTLA .
Korpie and two other patrons involved in the deadly scuffle were arrested and booked into the Santa Monica Jail, police said.
“We are still in shock at the sudden loss of a person who was a respected and esteemed member of our restaurant’s family,” a Jameson’s Pub spokesperson told the Sacramento Bee .
