Investigators have not found any signs of foul play in the death of a man who was found in early July at a Santa Rosa U-Haul dealership, authorities said.

The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office responded July 3 to the store on Santa Rosa Avenue after Markique Andrew Peppers-Valdovina, 37, was found unresponsive, Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Rob Dillion said.

There are multiple U-Haul dealerships on the street and Dillion did not initially specify at which one the Santa Rosa man was located.

Peppers-Valdovina was pronounced dead soon after officials arrived.

Investigators did not find any evidence of foul play at the site and an initial exam during the autopsy did not turn up anything suspicious, Dillion said. Peppers-Valdovina’s cause of death is pending.
