People needed to help raise puppies
Volunteer as a puppy raiser with Santa Rosa-based Canine Companions assisting in its mission to provide service dogs to people with disabilities. A 14 to 18-month commitment is required. No dog experience needed. Must be 12 years or older to volunteer.

Volunteers needed to tend to community garden
Ceres Community Project is looking for volunteers to maintain its community garden in Petaluma. The work helps the Sebastopol nonprofit provide nourishing foods to community members facing illnesses. Shifts are Tuesdays from 9:30-11:30 a.m. All gardening experience welcome. Must be 18 years or older or 14 years with an adult to volunteer.
