SARASOTA — The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall is celebrating Christmas in July with new shows added to the 2024-25 season lineup.

A news release provides a description of the four newly-added shows.

‘Neil Berg’s 50 Years of Rock ‘n’ Roll Part VI’

Nov. 7. Neil Berg shares the often-unknown stories from the 50-year history of the music. From the progenitors of rock ‘n’ roll in the 1940s, through the glory years of the ‘50s, ‘60s and ‘70s, up until MTV in the early ‘80s, “Neil Berg’s 50 Years of Rock & Roll” has stories and music, with tributes to iconic rock stars, groups and genres.

‘Dave Koz and Friends 2024 Christmas Tour’

Dec. 1. Beginning the next era of this rich musical tradition, Dave Koz and Friends will perform fresh renditions of timeless Christmas classics — as well as a Chanukah medley — and hits from their respective catalogues. The tour reunites Koz with long-time musical partner, guitarist/singer Jonathan Butler and will feature special guests, saxophonist Vincent Ingala, guitarist Adam Hawley and vocalist Rebecca Jade.

    The Four Phantoms

Dec. 18. It’s the most wonderful time of the year to join The Four Phantoms for a holiday celebration. The Four Phantoms features a quartet of performers including Brent Barrett, John Cudia, Franc D’Ambrosio and Ciarán Sheehan, under the music direction of Ryan Shirar. This special holiday show features the music of Broadway, including “Phantom of the Opera” favorites, as well as holiday favorites.

Top Of The World’s ‘A Carpenters Christmas Show’

Dec. 20. Singer Debbie Taylor is backed by a seven-piece band of professional industry musicians. The band members are all multi-instrumentalists and at times use three keyboards to recreate the complex arrangements created by Richard Carpenter. The attention to detail paired with saxophone, trumpet, flute and more instruments complete each song.
