Rensselaer man to get 5 years in prison for having gun as a felon
A Rensselaer man is expected to receive 5 years in prison after admitting to possessing a gun as a felon. Thomas R. McCall, 25, pleaded guilty in Saratoga County Court on Thursday to criminal possession of a weapon. He was arrested on March 25 after a traffic stop on South Broadway Saratoga Springs.

BALLSTON SPA — A Mechanicville man who pleaded guilty to raping a young child was sentenced Wednesday in Saratoga County Court to 29 years in state prison. Ryan M. Jewett, 32, was also ordered to comply with 20 years of post-release supervision and mandatory registration on the state sex offender registry. The sentence was imposed by Saratoga County Court Judge James A. Murphy III.
